DocsMD vs BiteBot

Two different jobs. BiteBot helps you buy new patients with ads. DocsMD recovers the revenue from patients you already have, and proves it. Here’s how they compare, from each company’s own published pages.

BiteBot
DocsMD
What it is
“One AI platform to generate, book and convert more patients”: ad launcher, ad studio, landing pages, AI receptionist, AI texting, smile previews.Source: www.bitebot.io
A Patient Revenue Engine: it recovers revenue from the patients and calls you already have (missed calls, cancellations, no-shows, overdue patients, insurance gaps) and proves every recovered dollar weekly.
Price
Starter $297/mo, Pro $697/mo, Max $1,297/mo, each billed annually ($2,970 / $6,970 / $12,970 a year). The AI receptionist, AI texting and reactivation campaigns are in Pro and up.Source: www.bitebot.io/pricing
$699/mo Founder Rate (first 5 practices per metro, locked while subscribed) or $1,149/mo per location. Billed monthly.
Ad spend
The platform launches campaigns on Facebook, Instagram and Google. The pricing page doesn’t say ad budgets are included.Source: www.bitebot.io/pricing
None. DocsMD doesn’t run ads, so there’s no ad budget on top.
Guarantee
“30-day guarantee.”Source: www.bitebot.io/pricing
2× your fee, every month. Any month DocsMD doesn’t recover at least twice what you pay, your next month is free (up to three free months a year).
BAA
Their privacy policy says they “will execute a BAA on request” and that they maintain BAAs with Supabase (database and storage) and HighLevel (CRM).Source: www.bitebot.io/privacy
Signed before a single record moves. Step one of onboarding. Our cloud, texting and AI processing run under a BAA too.
Patient photos
SmileGen sends patient photos to an AI image service, Replicate; their privacy policy labels this “Images only — no PHI.” HIPAA lists “full-face photographs and any comparable images” as patient identifiers (45 C.F.R. § 164.514(b)(2)(i)(Q)), and the BAAs their policy lists don’t include Replicate. Ask any vendor that sends your patients’ photos to an AI service: does that service sign a BAA?Source: www.bitebot.io/privacy
No patient photos, ever. DocsMD doesn’t collect or send patient images, and every service that touches your patients’ data is covered by a BAA.
Where patient data goes
Their privacy policy says data “may be transferred to and processed in the United States — or other countries,” and names its service providers: Supabase (database & file storage), HighLevel (CRM), Replicate (AI image processing) and Vercel (hosting).Source: www.bitebot.io/privacy
United States only. Your patients’ data is stored and processed in U.S. data centers, on HIPAA-eligible cloud services covered by a BAA.
SOC 2
Their SmileGen page says “SOC 2 Type II.” No report is published on the site. A SOC 2 Type II is a written report from an independent CPA firm; a vendor who has one can share it, usually under NDA. Ask for it.Source: www.bitebot.io/smilegen
Not yet, and we say so. Our infrastructure providers hold their own SOC 2 reports; DocsMD hasn’t completed its own audit.
Your EHR
Books into “the calendar or practice management system.” The systems aren’t named on the public site.Source: www.bitebot.io
Runs alongside your EHR. No integration project: you block “DocsMD Hold” times in your own schedule and exchange a simple file. Your EHR stays your system of record.
Proof of results
“1000+ practices” and “18,000+ patient inquiries in 2026,” stated on the homepage.Source: www.bitebot.io
Every recovered visit itemized in a weekly report and on your live dashboard. That log is what the guarantee is measured against.

The verdict

Choose BiteBot if…
  • You want to run Facebook, Instagram and Google ads to bring in brand-new leads
  • You have a monthly ad budget on top of the software
  • You can pay a year up front
Choose DocsMD if…
  • You want the revenue you’re already losing back: missed calls, cancellations, no-shows, overdue patients
  • You want no ad spend, billing monthly (never a year up front), and a 2× monthly guarantee
  • You want patient data kept in the U.S., under a BAA, with no patient photos sent anywhere
Bottom line: Fix the leaks before you pay for more traffic. Every new patient an ad brings in is wasted if their call goes unanswered or their cancelled time sits empty. Start with DocsMD; add ads later if you still want them.

Using both? That can make sense. BiteBot is about getting new patients through the door; DocsMD makes sure the patients you paid to get don’t slip away to a missed call, a cancellation nobody refilled, or a recall that never went out.
